Russian Journalist Irina Slavina set herself on #Fire on Friday in front of Russia’s local branch of its interior Ministry in Nizhny Novgorod after a search on her apartment by Russia’s police
Irina Slavina quoted “I ask you to blame Russian Federation for my death”.

Irina Slavina was an editor in chief at a small local news outlet which advertised itself as “No censorship, “no orders”, “from above” at Liza press.
According to Irina before her demise, she wrote on her Facebook that her flat was being searched by police Officers and Investigator who are looking for “brochures, “leaflets and “accounts” by Russia’s open opposition group.
Irina stated that her notebooks, laptops and electronics were seized which did not exclude her daughter’s laptop and husband’s mobile phone.
